Amid the intensifying competition in the new energy vehicle market, the upcoming T7—a mid-to-large SUV from the Fang Cheng Bao brand—has captured significant consumer attention with its distinctive boxy silhouette and cutting-edge tech features. Recently revealed through real-world street photos, this model dubbed the “electric Land Rover Defender” by netizens boasts impressive capabilities. Let’s explore its highlights.

Exterior

The T7 inherits the brand’s signature design language, featuring a highly recognizable angular profile. At the front, a sleek single-line daytime running light pairs with a two-tier split headlight cluster, creating a futuristic look. Notably, a roof-mounted lidar sensor signals advanced driver-assistance capabilities.

Profile & Dimensions

The SUV adopts a floating roofline and flared wheel arches, enhancing its rugged appeal. Two wheel designs cater to diverse preferences. Measuring 4,999 mm long, 1,995 mm wide, and 1,865 mm tall with a 2,920 mm wheelbase, the five-seater T7 slots between the Bao 5 and Bao 8 models, offering competitive proportions for its class.

Rear Design

A practical and adventure-ready rear-mounted spare tire (“little backpack”) complements the tailgate. Taillights mirror the front design for high nighttime visibility, and the “Fang Cheng Bao” badge features illuminated lettering. The premium variant debuts the innovative Lingyuan intelligent onboard drone system, enabling dynamic takeoff/landing at 25 km/h, omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, follow-mode filming, and one-touch aerial video creation.

Interior (Based on Official Images)

Though limited in scope, official interior shots reveal key elements: an oversized floating touchscreen, a minimalist dashboard, and a steering-column-mounted electronic gear selector. Buyers can choose between Urban Orange and Fashion Gray color schemes. The second-row seats fold flat to create a spacious cargo area, aligning with the T7’s near-5-meter length for outstanding practicality.

Powertrain

The T7 employs a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system combining a 1.5T engine (115 kW) with electric motors. Options include:

·2WD: Rear motor (200 kW)

·4WD: Adds front motor (160 kW), delivering 360 kW combined.
With a top speed of 190 km/h, performance promises to be robust.

Launch & Outlook

Scheduled for release in Q4 2024, the T7 strategically targets year-end sales peaks. Its unique positioning has already sparked strong interest, and with competitive pricing, it could become Fang Cheng Bao’s next breakout model.
